Name: |
Walking at the Weekends |
Description: |
The 'Walking at the Weekends' group is a friendly and very sociable group which may explain why membership continues to grow. We encourage new members and ensure they receive a big welcome into the group. The group aims to provide a range of walks on the first Saturday and third Sunday each month throughout the year.
Walks vary in difficulty and distance (5 to 8 miles) but the key aim is to provide a variety of walks within the ability of the group and that there is something to suit everyone over the year. Group members receive a brief description of the next walk about a week in advance to help them decide whether it is suitable for them or not. Group members plan and lead the walks during the year, for which support and help is available for those who have not led a walk before. |
Availability: | This group is likely to be full.
